What is the story behind your logo?

The logo was created in 2018. The hibiscus image represents that I am a Malaysian, with J shape similar to the first alphabet of my first name, the yellow colour has the same meaning as my surname in Chinese “黄”.

The field’s constant evolution—new tools, trends, and user behaviors—keeps it exciting, like solving an ever-changing puzzle that improves lives.

Without prior experience in financial services product design, how did you adapt to your role at UQPAY?

During my probation, I dedicated the 1st month to mastering the company’s product, 2nd month to analyzing competitors’ products, and 3rd month to identifying potential enhancements for our product through competitive comparison.

When ideas or solutions differ between parties, I present design options, gather feedback, and refine solutions to balance both perspectives effectively.
